Iron Bridge Wine

WELCOME

When Rob and Steve Wecker set out to open a quaint little wine shop and café on the outskirts of Columbia, Maryland in 2003, they had no idea what they were getting themselves into. The idea was simple, but the possibilities were endless. It turned out to be exactly what the little suburb needed, and word traveled fast. Over a decade later, the once modest concept has blossomed into a critically acclaimed "hot-spot", garnering attention from such national publications as USA Today and

The Wine Enthusiast, and been a Top 50 Restaurant in Baltimore Magazine eight times. Despite all the attention, the Weckers remain humble and true to their initial inspiration: to offer a world class dining experience in an unassuming, unpretentious, casual atmosphere. We don't ignore the fact that great wines are often reserved for great moments and important people, but we prefer to embrace the fact that it's also the drink of the common man.

We try to remember that Champagne is just as appropriate on a random afternoon as it is on an important anniversary. Our focus is on expertly crafted, small production wines from all over the world. With a modest 300 bottle inventory, our team hand selects the endlessly rotating selection, taking into consideration the ever changing trends, seasons and menu.

OUR VISION

Wine is always on our brains here, but what's wine without great food. After all, food brings us together. It unites families and gives pride to nations. It's one of our most primal cravings, and despite how basic a need it is, humans seek endlessly to create complex, cravable concoctions designed to take a need and turn it into a desire. Pair that with some good wine and you're really speaking our language. Our chefs employ time tested, classic techniques that have pleased palates for ages, while adding a modern flare to bring our guests a unique culinary, impressing diners for over 11 years.

Modern American cuisine finds international influences in the inspirations of our team of highly trained, professional chefs. Local produce, meats and seafood are a focal point at Iron Bridge, and central Maryland provides a multitude of options to source quality products for our farm-to-table approach to cooking. Our chefs don't cut any corners in their techniques, and every ingredient is prepared fresh daily. The bottom line is, we do things the way they're supposed to be done. Finally, we bring these two amazing worlds together. Truly no two things complement one another as well as food and wine.

Our staff knows this, loves this and embraces this simple fact, and is well prepared to help you do the same. It's our mission, our goal, our calling to ensure that your experience is nothing short of spectacular, without all the stuffy nonsense. At the end of the day we want you to feel at home with us, we want you to remember your time with us and we want you to tell your friends about us. When you're at Iron Bridge, you're part of the family, and we can't wait to have you back.
